They don't memorize words. They build them.

Try it right here

Flip a letter. Make a word.

This is exactly how a Lingo book works. Pick a word family, tap the yellow card to flip the first letter, then press Sound it out. Can you build every word?

How Lingo works

Three steps to "I read it!"

No setup, no charging, no instructions to read first. Hand them a book and they're off.

Picking a Lingo flip book1

Pick a flip book

Each book focuses on one sound pattern, so kids practice one idea at a time.

Flipping the first letter to make a new word2

Flip the first letter

The ending stays put while the first letter changes, so a new word appears with every flip.

Reading the word out loud3

Read it out loud

Sound it out, check the picture, and celebrate. Then flip again for the next word.

Magic E lab

Watch one little e change everything.

Some of the trickiest early-reading rules become a magic trick in Lingo. Add an e to the end and the vowel "says its name": cap becomes cape, kit becomes kite.

Try it: pick a word, then wave the wand.

Short a, like in "apple"

Word families

Why parents love it

Big confidence from little books

Lingo turns practice into play, so reading feels like something they can do, not something they're told to do.

Child focused on a hands-on activity

Screen-free focus

No tapping past the hard parts. Every word is sounded out for real.

Child playing with their hands

Hands-on learning

Flipping cards keeps busy hands involved while the brain does the reading.

Child learning through play

Patterns, not guessing

Once they spot c-at, b-at, h-at, they can read words they've never seen.

Proud child

Real confidence

Every flip is a small win, and small wins add up to "I can read!"

Sarah K. Mom of a 4-year-old

She sounded out a sign in the store

We did the -at book over and over the first week. Yesterday she stopped in the grocery store and read "hot" off a sign all by herself. I nearly cried.
Marcus T. Dad of a 5-year-old

Asks for "the word books" over the tablet

He flips through three or four books on his own while I make dinner. No battery, no screen, and he actually asks for them at bedtime. That says it all.
Laura P. Kindergarten teacher

Bought one for home, then one for class

The flip format clicks for kids who struggle with worksheets. They see the ending stay the same and suddenly the pattern makes sense. My students fight over them.
